Course overview
Our Safeguarding Adults course is an introduction to the relevant issues, legislation, and practices around the safeguarding of adults from harm or neglect. It is suitable for frontline staff, team leaders and managers who are working with vulnerable adults where safeguarding concerns may be relevant.
The programme includes:

An introduction to safeguarding

Roles and responsibilities in relation to safeguarding adults

Signs and indications of potential safeguarding issues

Appropriate responses to safeguarding concerns

The procedures for making a “safeguarding alert”

Ways to work with dignity and respect when working with individuals

Relevant legislation, regulation, and guidance around safeguarding

A discussion of potential barriers to reporting safeguarding concerns

Certification
