Moving and Handling of People

Our Moving and Handling of People Training can be facilitated as a course just for your organisation at our training centre or 'onsite' at your location. The course comes in a number of variations depending on your requirements. We recommend an annual refresh of Moving and Handling Training due to regular changes in legislation.

Moving and Handling of People Refresher

Aimed at existing care staff as an annual refresher to update skills and knowledge. This course lasts for approximately 3 hours and run at regular intervals in our annual training calendar. Training can be facilitated just for your organisation at our training centre or 'onsite' at your location.

Aimed at learners who are either new to the role or would need a full refresh of Training. The course lasts 4 hours approximately and is run twice a month at our training centre. Training can be facilitated just for your organisation at our training centre or 'onsite' at your location.

Moving and Handling of People and Risk Assessment for Managers

Aimed at Care Managers, Supervisors and Team leaders to refresh/update their knowledge.  This course runs over a full day at regular intervals in our annual training calendar. Training can also be facilitated just for your organisation at our training centre or 'onsite' at your location.

  • The principles and practice of risk assessment

  • Policies, procedures and legislative requirements for risk assessment

  • Various types of moving and handling equipment and their uses

  • Management responsibilities in proving generic and individual risk assessments
