At Kemble Training we take pride in ensuring learners are on the right qualification and level and offer alternative options based on initial discussions if needed. This section covers key learner information but if you require further information please do not hesitate to give us a call or make contact via our web based contact form.

Safeguarding

The safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults is fully embraced by all Kemble Training staff and underpins our values. We want all learners to feel safe and not to feel threatened by their environment or other people in it.

The process of taking action to protect children and vulnerable adults from harm is usually called ‘safeguarding’, or ‘child protection’ when dealing with under 18s. A safeguarding issue is a serious risk of abuse (physical, sexual, emotional and financial), neglect or any other event that is likely to cause significant harm. It also covers things such as extremism, forced marriage and female genital mutilation.

Where these matters present themselves, Kemble Training has a duty to take steps to protect its learners. This duty covers young people up to the age of 18 as well as adults who may be vulnerable because of their situation. Therefore to keep everyone safe from harm, regardless of age, little distinction is made between our procedures.

Safeguarding issues usually take place in ‘real life’ but also happen online via mobile phones, social media and the Internet. As a provider we treat all matters equally seriously regardless of where or when they occur.

Please remember that if you or somebody else is at risk of being harmed in any way then you must tell someone.

Prevent

Encouragement of terrorism and/or soliciting support for a proscribed organisation is a criminal offence. Our Prevent Policy sets out our approach to the specific elements and provisions of the Act as they apply to providers, as well as our more general approach to issues around the vulnerability of our staff and learners with regard to harassment or radicalisation from any source, and relevant measures which enable our learners to learn in safe and intellectually stimulating environments.
