Course overview

Our Basic First Aid training is a fun, interactive and informative half day course, which teaches participants the skills to deliver first and immediate assistance for people suffering from minor or serious illness or injury.

This can include initial intervention in a serious condition before professional medical help arrives, such as CPR, as well as the treatment of minor conditions like cuts and bruises.

This course can be used as an introduction to First Aid as well as a refresher. For those who wish to keep their First Aid skills up to speed, we recommend annual refresher training to ensure you remain up to date with the latest legislation and practices.

The programme includes:

  • An introduction into First Aid

  • The role and responsibilities of the First Aider

  • How to conduct a primary survey

  • Recovery Position

  • CPR

  • First Aid responses to choking, seizures, shock, bleeding, stroke, burns, and heart attacks.

N.B. For those individuals who wish to train as a First Aider in the workplace, we recommend the full day Highfield accredited Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work course.

At the end of the day, successful participants will receive a Kemble Training Attendance Certificate that lists all the completed elements.
